Then the sabre toothed real estate developers. Lots of fun.Ībout 1996, the City redid Lincoln Rd & decided to market SoBe to the world. A little gay artists town with a fishing village vibe. We gays rebuilt South Beach, starting in the late 80s, when it was Gods Waiting Room, there were so many pathetic nursing homes.
